Scratch kiteboarding is now offering a wide variety of Kiteboarding lessons from beginner to advanced. Our professional staff, latest kiteboarding equipment and “personalized” lesson plans makes us the best kiteboarding school in the Wilmington, NC area. Scratch’s Yuichi is a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain and all our instructors are CPR and First Aid certified.
Due to its unique challenges, kiteboarding requires proper knowledge about equipment and environmental conditions (wind speed, direction, tides, currents, high/low pressure systems, etc). Scratch Kiteboarding is dedicated to providing a lesson that suits your comfort and experience level. This is the very first step on being a kiteboarder. The lesson will cover from wind window theory to basics of flying and controlling a kite.
You will learn:
- Weather conditions and location safety
- How to setup a trainer kite
- Wind window
- Kiting theory
- Flying & control a kite

In this next 3 hour kiteboarding lesson, you will put all your skills learned in beginner lesson. You will learn and experience the true power of the kite in the water and learn how to kiteboard!Skills you will learn:
